The merger of two well-respected
independent adjusting firms will optimize the customer service
for carrier assignments in the California and
Nevada, and allow Sams & Associates Independent
Adjusters and Investigations to expand further in the near
future.
Don Sams
of Sams & Associates and Steve Anderson of Anderson Claims
Service, Inc. have announced the acquisition of Anderson Claims
Service by Sams & Associates as of October 1st,
2008.
The
alliance of the two firms will provide for more capacity to
respond to the increased outsourcing of claims handling by the
carriers in these tumultuous times. Many of the carriers
appear to be focusing on their core competencies and looking
for cost mitigation by utilizing outsourcing to claims partners
with optimum service levels. Sams & Associates is
committing the company to continue to provide that level of
service in more geographic areas.
“Our growth will be
steady, but will never be out of control,” Don Sams stated. “we
will not relinquish our ability to control the products that we
deliver and we will diligently monitor the work of the
adjusters who are, after all, representing the carriers who
assign the work. Each timely report will be filtered
through the main office in the Sacramento area to maintain the
quality that we are known for.”
Steve
Anderson said “For the last couple of years I have been looking
to merge with an independent adjusting company that could give
me an opportunity to utilize my skills and abilities in a new
and different way. I have owned my own company for 19 years and
had a very successful run but even with this success I was
looking for new challenges. At a recent claims seminar Don and
I started talking about our respective business and the state
of the insurance industry as a whole. This was easy as we have
known one another both personally and professionally for the
last 20 years. Suddenly it was clear that there was an
opportunity for us to make both of our companies better by a
merger. I could offer Don an existing office and a staff of
fully qualified adjusters in a geographical area that he was
looking to expand into. Also, we did some types of
investigations that his company did not perform which could
open up different markets for potential new business. We do
training that we could offer to Don’s clients as a value added
piece for our respective clients. In turn, Don had in
place a staff of senior management personnel all well qualified
in personnel, finance and production as well as a qualified
adjusting staff geographically located throughout the entire
state of California and Nevada. With his commitment to grow his
company into the states of Oregon, Washington and Arizona I
felt I could be of assistance to Don to scout out qualified
firms which we might approach for possible merger and
acquisition.”
